Therophobia
Therophobia is an animation project and series of prints focused on gray wolves as ecological subjects, contentious figures in colonial history, and potential guides into new eco-emotional-territories. This project is participatory, including interviews with wolf biologist Cristina Eisenbergand one with Robert Shimek (Red Lake Anishinaabe), then Executive Director of the White Earth Land Recovery Project. Materials are appropriated from late 19th century and early 20th century historical documents.

The Trophy Hunted is a series of prints based on photographs trophy hunters post to the internet holding up wolves they have killed. The hunter is removed from the photograph, their silhouette haunting the fragility of the wolf carcass carved into linoleum. The hunter is surrounded by threatened plant species who share ecosystems with wolves.
